Emily is a Midwest native who spent much of her youth studying opera, choral music, and theatre.
During college, Emily found yoga to have a strong influence in her life and it quickly became a calming retreat from the everyday challenges of life.
She chose Daren Friesen's teacher training program at Moksha Yoga Center and in the Spring of 2010, she completed the Moksha Teacher Training Program and is now a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT).
She feels very fortunate to have been exposed to a variety of excellent teachers, including Daren Friesen, Tias Little, Cynthia Latimer, Gabriel Halpern, and the beloved Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj.
Emily believes that the real journey to freedom begins with the breath because it allows us to reach the innermost spaces within.
Yoga is both a philosophy and a practice, so the focus of her classes is to help students discover a place of deep lasting peace, strength, and fearlessness.
