Eden Newmark found her yoga practice early in high school as an extension of her dance and gymnastics back ground. Finding the connection of mind, body and spirit, she carried the principles of yoga with her through her theatre training at Knox College, where she graduated in 2008. Her work in the Alexander and Chekhov techniques for movement based theatre strengthened her desire to match movement to breath, and yoga allowed her to explore the dynamics between action and meditation. As studio manager at YOGAHOUSE, Eden is celebrating the chance focus on yoga, and deepen both her appreciation and understanding for the art of the practice. In preparation for her yoga teacher training in the spring of 2011, Eden is truly enjoying the opportunity to teach Good Karma Community classes here at the studio, and is loving finding her home on the mat.
